Desiccation of objects

The principles of desiccation are based upon the proven condensation method.

 

Operation of air desiccators is based either upon the phenomenon of steam condensation on the cool surface of a desiccator (condensation desiccators) or on absorption of moisture by hygroscopic adsorbent (adsorptive desiccators).

Condensation desiccators – description of operation:

operation of condensation desiccators is based upon application of a refrigerating system. A stream of the desiccated air is sucked in by a ventilator onto the surface of a cooler, where air temperature is decreased beneath dew-point. This results in condensation of steam contained in the air and settling out of water drops on the cooler surface. Desiccated air flows through a heater, and then it leaves the desiccator. The temperature of the outgoing air is about 5÷8°C higher in relation to the temperature of the air sucked-in by the device. The steam condensated on the cooler surface flows down to a dripping tray from which it can be collected into a tank or on the ongoing basis it is drained using a hose to the tank.

How we function?

 

After an order for a service (lease of devices) is placed, we deliver the device to the customer, we set up the optimum way of operation and after the work is completed we collect it.

 

Our devices are practically maintenance-free – what does it mean?

 

The devices are equipped with moisture detectors what means that if moisture is absorbed, the device will shut off by itself. In case that the water tank is filled up completely during operation, the device will also shut off automatically and it will turn on after the tank is empted.
